About
Dr Robert C. Brown Veterinarian was born in Harrisonburg and reared in Luray on a small dairy farm A native Virginian, He attended Virginia Tech and graduated from the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1971. In 1972 Dr. Brown & his wife Donna founded Cherrydale Veterinary Clinic (CVC) strongly emphasizing wellness and preventative care, with a practice focus on geriatric medicine. For most of his career, Dr. Brown has been very involved in education a the local, state, national, and international levels, while also being a frequent lecturer at Universities and continuing education seminars.
Dr Robert C. Brown Veterinarian is a naturalist, planting many trees yearly on the family cattle farm in Luray & has a retreat center where inner city youth are exposed to nature, outdoor life skills, and values of rural life. Organization, church, professional, community & family activities keep him busy. In 2012, Dr. Brown received the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association “Virginia Veterinarian of the Year” award for a lifetime of service to patients, their owners, staff, the community, and his profession.
