About Dr Emalee Blumhagen Veterinarian
Dr. Emalee Blumhagen grew up in Seattle, WA, and was the youngest of four children. She played ice hockey at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA where she obtained her undergraduate degree in 2010. After graduating, she worked in human medicine in a field of diagnostic imaging while also training in wildlife rehabilitation. She then went on to obtain her degree in veterinary medicine from the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA in 2019, after which she completed a general internship at the Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, MA in 2020 followed by a specialty surgical internship at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital in San Diego, California. Her current interests and professional focus include soft tissue surgery, orthopedic surgery, and minimally invasive surgery. She is very excited to join the surgical team at Animal Medical Center. In her spare time, Dr. Blumhagen enjoys spending time with his 2 cats, running, and going on rock climbing & mountaineering adventures with his wife and family.
