About
Dr Louise Barrett Veterinarian has been an associate veterinarian at Williamson County Animal Hospital (WCAH) since 2007. She is originally from North Carolina & graduated from North Carolina State University- College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. Her undergraduate work was accomplished at Mount Holyoke College.
Before her career at Williamson County Animal Hospital, she practiced in Evanston, Illinois for 8 years and in Murfreesboro, Tennessee for 7 years. Dr. Barrett lives with her husband of 20- years & son in Murfreesboro, her husband’s hometown. They share their home with their dog Ronnie, & spend their free time in their garden.
Having spent her youth riding horses, she always assumed she would be an equine vet, but fell in love with small animal medicine during her junior year of vet school and has never looked back! She feels completely blessed to work on God’s creatures & get to know wonderful people in the process. She particularly enjoys working on medical cases as well as treating skin & eye problems. Her goal is to partner with pet owners in creating the best care plan possible for their situations.
