About
Dr Carmen Petti Veterinarian has been an important asset to the Avon Lake Animal Clinic team since starting in February 2009. Her special interests are in wound repair & recast, soft tissue surgery, stem cell therapy, chemotherapy, & feline & canine internal medicine. She finds Avon Lake Animal Clinic (ALAC) to be the perfect place to practice high-quality medicine & surgery, all with her personal touch of compassion and care.
Dr Carmen Petti Veterinarian earned her Bachelor of Science from Northern Arizona University and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Colorado State University where she graduated Phi-Zeta. She has earned several recognitions for her excellent vet skills; together with an internship with the Student Conservation Association at Zion National Park, the Dick T. Wilson Scholarship, & a position in the Vet Prep Programs at Colorado State University (CSU) which guaranteed her acceptance into vet school. She is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Ohio Vet Medical Association, Colorado Veterinary Medical Association, South Carolina Association of Veterinarians, & American Animal Hospital Association.
Dr Carmen Petti Veterinarian enjoys spending time with her husband Ivan and her two sons, Basil and Julian. Together they have several rescue pets including a Golden Retriever mix named Argo, a Maine Coon cat named Anchovy, and two sweet domestic shorthair cats named Mary and Salamander.
Outside of the hospital, Dr Carmen Petti Veterinarian can be found sailing or spending time with her friends and family on the beaches of Lake Erie, running and hiking in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, or enjoying the vast restaurant scene in Cleveland, particularly those that feature locally grown ingredients.
