Dr Rebecca Smith Veterinarian Rebecca Smith is an emergency and critical care doctor. She was born and raised in New Jersey (NJ) before heading to Ohio, where she accomplished her undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine at the University of Dayton (UD). Following graduation, Rebecca worked in a small animal practice, which is where she found her passion for veterinary medicine. She then went on to receive her doctorate from Western University (WU). After spending four years in sunny, Southern California, Dr. Smith decided it was time to return to the East Coast. She then completed her small animal rotating internship at VERG (Brooklyn) and her three-year emergency & critical care residency at The Animal Medical Center in New York City.

Dr Rebecca Smith Veterinarian enjoys the adrenaline that comes with emergency medicine. Her clinical interests include polytrauma, sepsis, & endocrine emergencies.

When not at work, Dr Rebecca Smith Veterinarian enjoys relaxing with her fiancé, going to the beach, & playing with her dogs Mowgli and Rooster. She’s crazed to see what Connecticut has to offer!
