About Dr Alexandra van der Woerdt Veterinarian

Dr. van der Woerdt is board-certified by both the American and European Colleges of Veterinary Ophthalmologists. She came to Anima Medical Center in 1994 and currently heads our Ophthalmology Service. Dr. van der Woerdt also serves as the director of Postgraduate Education at the AMC. Dr. van der Woerdt has received several honors and awards, together with the Clendenin J Ryan Memorial Teaching Award in 2001 & was named Veterinarian of the Year in 2006 by the New York City Veterinary Medical Association. She received the award for outstanding service to veterinary medicine from the NYC Vet Medical Association in 2015
